Amr Algarhi is currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) of Economics at Sheffield Business School. Prior to this, he taught at the University of Exeter at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He received his PhD in Economics on long memory time series and fractional cointegration analysis from the University of Exeter, where he also earned his MSc (distinction) in Economics and Econometrics. He served as a Researcher/Economist at the Institute of National Planning in Egypt. He earned his MA (distinction) in Economics from the American University in Cairo and his BSc in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. His research interests include econometric theory, time series analysis, financial econometrics, macroeconomics, international economics and energy economics. Dr Algarhi is also a media expert and specialist in UK and Middle Eastern economies.
