Ziyad Baroud is a managing partner at HBDT law firm.
He has been involved in various consultancy short term and long term missions with UN agencies, the World Bank, ministries and MPs. He participated actively in elaborating laws and in legislative reforms and headed the governmental commission on decentralization.
He served as minister of Interior and Municipalities in two consecutive cabinets between 2008 and 2011.

He is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Université Saint Joseph.

He graduated from the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, holds a master degree and a diploma in conflict resolutions and pursued doctoral studies in Paris X Nanterre.
