This exchange workshop on “Experiences in Reforming Public Procurement Policy Frameworks”, drawing on the successful experiences from the world and enabling exchange of international good practices and dialogue among national stakeholders aims at feeding in the national dialogue on effectively reforming the Lebanese procurement system.

It was organized by the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan in collaboration with the joint EU-OECD Support for Improvement of Governance and Management (SIGMA).

The second part of the workshop was dedicated to working groups on specific procurement cases in the Lebanese public administration. Participants analyzed the cases and recommended practical measures to align procurement practices with international principles, namely principles of efficiency, transparency, integrity, participation, professionalization and sustainability.

The workshop gathered more than 30 senior public officials, as well as representatives of the private sector and the donor community.
